Mark your calendars everyone!  We’ve got some exciting things coming up during the month of July!

Next Thursday, July 8th, we’ll be starting Bill Hybels’ study titled: Influence. This is a 6-week study that we’ll be doing at Chuck’s house (4105 High Crest Dr., Irving, 75061) each Thursday night starting at 6pm.  We’ll have dinner first (just bring $3 to help cover the cost like we’ve done before) and then we’ll dive into the Word together.  This Sunday, we’ll have copies of the study in class that you can purchase for $8.  This is also a great chance for you to invite a friend or co-worker to join us too!  Here’s a look at the schedule for the study:

7/8 – Daily Influence – Lasagna
7/15 – Deeper Influence – Breakfast
7/22 – Eternal Influence – Tacos/Taco Salad
7/29 – Anatomy of Eternal Influence – Spaghetti
8/5 – Natural Influence – Chicken Divan

On Monday, July 12th, we’re going Geocaching!  Meet us at the church at 6pm to join us as we go on a scavenger hunt, GPS style. More details and an Evite to come!

On July 23-25th we’ll be going to the Pope’s lake house on Lake Texoma!  We’ll meet at the church on Friday night around 6ish to caravan up to the lake and then return on Sunday afternoon.  In the past we’ve come home on Saturday night, but this year we’ve decided to stay an extra day and have ABF up at the lake this year.  Again, more details and an Evite to come!

This Tuesday, June 8th, The Road will be serving with the SEALS ministry of First Irving.  Meet up with us in the gym at 6pm to help get things ready.  We’ll leave around 6:45 and return to the church around 8:45-9pm.  Feel free to bring a friend along too!  This is a great way for us to practice what we’ve discussed in class the last 2 weeks.  It’s also a great chance for you to learn about one of the many ministries at First Irving that you can be a part of!  We hope to see you there!

I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend!  There are a couple of things I wanted to bring to your attention that are coming up. 

On Sunday, we’ll be picking back up with our study over Ezra, Nehemiah, & Esther.  This week our focus will be over Esther chapters 4-7.  Since this is a larger amount of material than we usually cover in class, I want to challenge you to spend some time reading over these chapters before coming to class, so that you have an idea of what we’ll be talking about.

Next Monday, 4/12, we’ll be getting together to play sand volleyball at 7pm.  Meet up with us at the Mustang Recreation Center:  2223 Kinwest Parkway, Irving, TX 75061.

Hey guys!

We wanted to announce that on Easter Sunday, April 4th, we’ll be having an Easter Sunday picnic during our ABF time.  We will still be attending the 10:00 service together, but after the service, we’ll head outside to the picnic area behind the church.  We’re going to grill out hamburgers & hot dogs, have a short lesson together, and enjoy some fellowship with each other.  Please feel free to bring along your friends too, we’d love to see all of you there!  This Sunday a sign-up sheet for drinks, sides, and desserts will be passed around in class.  Also, be on the lookout for an Evite to the picnic which should be coming your way soon!  We hope to see you Sunday!
